One of my clients wants to use rsync between two servers to create a secondary DNS master rather then a slave.
I know how to use rsync, but I want to be sure I use it in a most secure environment. Obviously on the other end rsync has to be able to write both to /etc and to /var/named. My question is what user should run rsync securely? The servers do NOT run bind-chroot. Suggestions are greatly appreciated. Reasons are helpful. Thanks.
