I hear nothing but good things about the Asus EeePC 1000HE. It's a little under $400 retail. Don't know what the model number of the Asus you mention is. That one would be my first choice, reviews mention 8+ hours battery life.
Make sure you check the keyboard configuration of the model you get, especially if your a touch typist as some of them have moved the Function keys and sometimes have shift keys it awkward places. Personally I'd stay away from the Acer (8.9 inch screen) and MS Wind. I own a first generation Asus EeePC 701. Purchased a Lenovo S-10 for my father in-law over the xmas , was really impressed with the screen and keyboard.. Make sure you check that they have Linux friendly hardware as lately there have been many new comers to the netbook space but most run XP. Good luck on your search. --Manny On Mon, Jul 13, 2009 at 1:01 AM, Topher Craig<[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, it has been a few months since I've made the meetings.
