Being that I am afflicted with this disease...

Professionally I say use whatever works. Whatever gets the job done.
Whatever the users are comfortable using. Basically it just comes down
to asking myself can I use Open Source for this? If so great, if not
move on. Its not necessarily something I like but its business not
personal. Business decisions should be logical not emotional.

I agree with the article and what is said. However that's not going to
make me change my feelings on microsoft. They still have ridiculous
vendor lock in policies. They still make a crap OS and browser. They
are still focused on software patents and profit over quality.

Many people say look at what microsoft/gates have done for personal
computing. I don't see it as that great. My response is imagine where
we would be if they hadn't held us back.
