Well yeah I'm saying the same thing with different terms.   I still see
a company as a private entity.  I don't see that a corporation is
required to act in the best public interest - they are for shareholder
interest (regardless of if it's shareholders are private owners, or
have purchased shares on a public market.)

The point I was trying to make was that - it's not like they are a
public utility or something that is paid from our taxes or they are a
function of a state or federal government etc...   If you deal with a
public government entity like the IRS, and you search their web site for
some question, it's likely to be extremely objective, for the best
public interest, etc.  If you work with a private entity (sorry
corporation - is that a better term?) maybe you should expect they will
sometimes do things to benefit themselves rather than be honest to you?
