Fantastic news!  Microsoft should have paid more then the $300 mil.
They were caught this time, but imagine how many times they have
gotten away with stuff like this in the past.

IMO: I am not sure this will affect FLOSS, but it is always a good
thing when M$ has to pay.  It will probably not matter much to end
users who buying M$ products, unless the stripping of this code has a
huge functional impact on the Word "experience".  Maybe then folks
will look to Ooo.  It might cause a dip in M$FT stock; 300mil + not
selling the product for a period of time in this economy, however M$FT
30.82 +0.30 (0.98%) for the day.
