Our main business is support for webhosts using CentOS. I've been
concentrating on CentOS since the beginning, and White Box Enterprise Linux
(which may have been the first respin of the Red Hat Enterprise source) before
that.

And it's not just me; we have staff in the US, in the Netherlands, and in
Lithuania.

No I'm not trying to get business, just explain what I do for a living.

Other than redhat-release, what does it check for? We've occasionally had to
play games with the redhat-release file, but nothing else.

Merry Christmas!
