So I forgot to mention,

Everything works out of the box with Karmic+X41 Tablet, but you still need
to configure the finger print scanner and........the tablet buttons.

This is what I did to set the tablet buttons:

Also, for an old laptop, this thing is very nice to use.  It seems fast.
