I'm not aware of any slide on/off hard covers. I have had devices with them in the past and those covers were ok. Nothing as large as a tablet. Two that comes to mind are the old Handspring PDA and my Zaurus SL-6000. However nothing is as great as this neoprene slip on covers IMO. Years ago in Vegas I has a Nextel/Mororola cell phone that came encased in it. It was branded as "Ruggedized" I dropped that phone from over 10 meters without damaging it. The one on my iphone is about 2mm thick and it has been dropped dozens of times from waist high. No damage.
