IMLO=== In My Limited Opinion (Since I have only looked at WordPress. Yeah, I stand corrected. WP is great for a blog, and it also works good as a webpage after you learn how to customize it. (I'm not just referring to the css.) To be specific and from my limited experience, It seems labor intensive to make a wordpress blog work like a basic website as opposed to a blog, which is what I wanted to do. You have to go in and edit the php, if I'm not mistaken, so that the links that go to pages or features that you do not want can be eliminated. You have to take the wordpress theme and work your way backwards. You have to find what you don't want in it and take it out without breaking it. Not extremely difficult but painstaking. Also you have to go into the code and find the code that actuates a particular behavior before you can remove it (without breaking anything). It seems to me that it would be easier to use a system that is built from the ground up. I havn't looked at joomla, drupal or Django, so I don't know which one is best for developing websites from the ground up rather than working my way backwards and eliminating some feature that I don't even know exists. As I search the net, I have not been able to find free webpage or website style templates as opposed to blog style templates. _______________________________________________ LinuxUsers mailing list LinuxUsers@socallinux.org http://socallinux.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linuxusers
