Well I seem to be having some trouble with my Ubuntu 10.10 netbook. First it started with a password change. I changed the password, and when my computer went to sleep, it wouldn't accept my new or old password. I rebooted into recovery and tried the passwd command and got an error. I then researched and found a solution: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-3609.html. When I got to #8 on the first post, I was searching to find what he was talking about when my stupid dog ran through the power cable and ripped the netbook on the floor. Well my dog isn't stupid, love that little bastard, he just picked the worst time to do that. But it didn't appear like anything was wrong, but rebooted anyways and now I receive this error: usb 5-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 No init found. Try passing init= bootarg. So I typed: /init to find out what it does, and it gives me a couple quick errors:
mount: mounting none on /sys failed: deviceor resource busy mount: mounting on /proc failed: device or resource busy mount: mounting none on /dev failed: device or resource busy W: devtmpfs not available, falling back to tmpfs for /dev and the computer looks like its about to boot but just hangs at ubuntu 10.10 loading screen. Seems like the Grub on my system is hosed. I researched these errors and got a lot of other issues but not really like the one I am having. I am going to keep researching but thought I would ask you guys maybe for a little direction. Also when I boot to Ubuntu disk, it hangs at the installation part. Any suggestions? Also does anyone have good live cd I could download or something I could boot on a thumb drive? Thanks everyone -- Ryan Villa 949.357.5095 villa.r...@gmail.com
