Caping off the thread to say that I went to the Sprint store, liked it, and 
bought it at Home Shopping network.. 3 monthly payments at no extra charge.  
$200 total plus tax & shipping.  Data plan from sprint, bought 1G/mo for 
$19.95.  Will use it as portable hotspot when I need one; they charge extra 
for that.

Of course I'm fussy.  Hopefully I'll like it when I get it.  If not, I have 30 
days to back off the unit and the plan.
