I'm afraid that isn't even an option. When the machine locks up, it completely locks up. The power button doesn't even work. Usually, I catch it early. The machine behaves a certain way when it's about to lock up like that. I usually have just long enough to hit Shut Down on the main menu and power it down properly (it's usually fine after that). I've only had to yank the battery three times in the time I've had it. But that's another reason I'm looking for another distro -- I just know that, sooner or later, this is going to really wreck the machine and I don't want that to happen. Ubuntu is a good idea. Besides, I should also be able to download the Icewin desktop. I just think it would be better for the smaller screen.
