Ubuntu Server edition has no GUI interface but still a bit bloated. Damn Small Linux is also good and less bloat and still has a GUI if you want it. If you go to distrowatch you can look for dedicated distros to meet your requirements easily. Firewall servers, LAMPS dedicated distros (though that may be more than you need) and simple home servers for file and media sharing. Recommendations in this area are a bit harder as everyone seems to have their favorite distro for such dedicated services. I suggest you just look at the list of distros and find one that matches your needs as closely as possible and then try it out. If you like it then modify it accordingly to suit your needs. --Shaun It isn't about it being free. Rather, its about the freedom it brings. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
