Truthfully you can do 2 or 3 other things...netboot(tftp with pxe)the
box into Linux from Vista, or create boot floppies(I use to do it all
the time)from the boot images(the images are there write them with a
tool called "disk write"). Lastly good ole USB...write an iso to USB,
then it's a done deal.

Etch floppy images:

Sadly boot floppies went out the door with Lenny, BUT you can always
install the base, change your sources list for Lenny and BINGO BANGO.

Have fun with the floppies...it's really nice.

| What I do have is the internal hard disk out of a 2nd PC

| I've attached it to my Windows Vista system via external USB drive

|
| I'd like to format it bootable
| Put Debian netinstall on it
| Take it out of the external enclosure & pop it back in to the computer
| it came from
| boot that computer with it
| install Debian on that computer it over the net.
|
| It seems achievable, but I'm not turning up anything on Google searching
| yet that clearly defines that process.

| Suggestions welcome

| Thanks in advance
