#1 (windows deb install) looked like it was going to work, but is insisting on a 64 bit kernel because the wintel machine is 64bit, the target box isn't. need to find a switch to pass the installer to force 32 I'm guessing #2 not sure how I would target an appropriate tftp host or even if my home router would respond to a PXE boot.
