Ok there are quite a few options. You should go to best buy and ask one of
the guys up there to show you to a pc that has the option of installing
ubuntu on it. if ubuntu works with no hardware problems on a specific
pc/laptop then so will another linux. also, there's the aspire one. it's a
net book though, you might not like that. also, dell offers to sell it to
you with linux preinstalled on it. the asus eee pc came with a version of
linux on it. you should try that. and because asus as a company was willing
to do that to one of their netbooks, it should be able to do this with
something like... one of their powerful laptops. Just narrow down your
search and then when you get ready, google the name of the laptop model with
"ubuntu friendly" kind of as a question. the articles should lead you to a
good decision.
