For me, I don't need to be "certified" with a specific distro or vendor
certification to be able to work on managing Linux systems. And having a
certification doesn't guarantee your "hirability". However, having a vendor
certification heightens your "desirability" to be hired.

I'm not certified but I'm managing multiple Linux servers now - dedicated
and VPSes. Then again, I've been using Linux full time on the desktop and on
my servers for years and years (approx. 12 years). And yet, I still consider
myself a newbie and still have lots of things to learn.

Good luck.

Penguin, penguin, and more penguin.

Believe that within the brain is a brain, and within it another brain, and
so on and so forth.
