spamcop.net (sign up is free) Plug in the email + all headers and see if the site can tell you anything. You will likely find that the mail is sourced from Yahoo.com and no markings of the originating PC.
Not sure if the school has a staff directory and her personal email is in there, but if not, it must be someone she knows.....
