It's amazing what people will reveal and do when they think they are
operating covertly anonymous. It's not clear from what you said, what,
if any threat was made to your friend. I'd be concerned about the person
going further, to the point of flipping out "on the job" and doing
something violent. The question is, was this just malicious writing, or
is it a warning sign that should invoke notifying the police?

One of my friends is a teacher at a high school in Chicago. She got an
email this weekend from a coworker (presumably -- the info in it is info
that only another teacher would know -- about what goes on in the

lounge and etc.). The email is loaded with slurs and abusive statements.
It's obviously from someone in her department.
The person made a yahoo address to send the email. I have the headers of
the original emails. Is there a way to trace and see where the email came
from? I have looked at all the IPs in the header, and they're all yahoo
IPs.
Any suggestions?
She has turned the email in to her administration. Not sure what else my
friend can do, but I'd like to help any way I can from the tech end.
