Part of my weekend will be setting up a 2008 server w/ sharepoint. BUT I am also going to be setting up 2 linux file servers for our house in the next week or so, and I would like to explore document management on linux. Part of my reason for this is that when a customer asks for a new server and they *think* they want M$, I can offer open source alternatives. Price is only one of many advantages -- being able to do all the things on their "checklist" (like do sharepoint-style doc management) is important in that vein. Have you priced M$ server packages lately? Yikes! And, the bloat is blatant and scary. I just want to be well-versed in other options. ~kari -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Linux Users Group.
