Hello everyone. apprentice linux user here. I've recently installed
Fedora 14 KDE on my sony vaio VPCEB33FM and everything has worked
great. I've uninstalled the k office and installed libre office and
also grabbed what has always been one of my favorite programs, Amarok,
as well as getting all available updates and bug fixes. The only other
change from the default installation is google chrome.

However, amarok has no sound. I've checked alsamixer, installed the
xine back end stuff, I have all the dependencies, and I am getting the
information in Amarok when music is currently playing as if everything
is fine. The only other thing I can think of is that there are pulse
audio settings enabled for both Gnome and KDE, but I have no idea how
to disable the gnome part of that.

Long story short, does anyone have any advice to get Amaork running? I
can provide any information needed with instruction.
