Here's the relevant line of output on the desktop box from lsusb: Bus 001 Device 027: ID 04a9:174d Canon, Inc.
I googled and found a person who put a huge ppa / repository for many different canon printers out there. Printing from the desktop box works flawlessly. The issue I'm having is how do I set up the cups server on the desktop box so it still prints from the desktop and talks to the laptop's cups client and vice-versa?
