hi!,

# Run gettys in standard runlevels
1:2345:respawn:/sbin/mingetty tty1

change the "respawn" keyword to "once" .

by making the above changes,atleast the error messages would be more
elaborate or u may be lucky enough to get login prompt.

I am getting a problem while booting into Runlevel 3
The message is appearing just before I get the login prompt.
 
Error message is:
 
INIT: Id "1" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "2" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "3" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "4" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "5" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: Id "6" Respawning too fast: Disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: No process left in this Runlevel
 
After 5 minutes the same message is displayed on the screen.
 
And the process is going on
 
NOTE: In such a systems I can able to do ssh login as a root user.
 
Even on network it not allow to change the permissions of the files.
 
Not even in single user mode on the (errored systems).
 
I urgently require the solution.
