Check ur
1> all partition
2> have u made partitioning as per tought by sir
if yes
then
check /usr/src/
where u might copied linux2.x.x.gz/bz2 or its modules copies in
/usr/src/kernels /usr/src/modules while kernel recompilation
delete those copy
then
do hdparm
fsck
& init 0
then check for dh -h
2)or check whether u locked by someone
