Dear Mandar,

Plz try this:

move the curent files ifcg-eth0 and ifcfg-eth1 from the current dir to some
other dir like /tmp.Then create new files with vi editor and use only
device, boot proto, ip, netmask OR else also u can use lo file for reference.
and then restart network service and check also check rebooting the
system after the changes.

I have a squid proxy server on fedora-4.
Two lan cards are connected in system.
One For real ip (eth1) and other for local lan network (eth0).
I have assigned ip address in:
 /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0
 /etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth1
 ================================
 Problem:
but when i am restarting network by
 # service network restart
It is taking previous ips which i have assigned in a system , it is not taking
current ips which i have entered in system..

 Please help me out..

 Thanks-

 regards-
