Hi all,

I have succesfully configured nfs opend port 2049,111,32771( udp and tcp)
But when i going to hit following command,

#showmount -e
error : RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Timed out

and try to mount as follow,

#mount -t /server:/folder /mnt
error:

mount: mount to NFS server failed: timed out (retrying).

I googled a lot but not any output,

SO anybody having some idea, please let me know.....

Hi,

What is the content of your "/etc/export" file??  Have you configured forward
DNS to resolve your server name??

If you are giving cmd "# mount -t",   after -t you must specify type of file
system.. here you can give # mount -t nfs..

Mubeen..
