Responsibilities: 

Installation and management of Centos 5.0, Fedora 10 and Windows operating 
system 

CRM Installation & configuration 

Configure / Manage NIS, NFS and DNS server. 

Set up Intranet Web Servers with APACHE, multiple-site management with 
named-based Virtual Hosting and access control with HTTP authentication. 

Installation and configuration of Mysql Server. 

Creating scheduling and maintaining backups. 

Configuration and troubleshooting with SAMBA server. 

Maintain the uptime of the linux servers. 

Made extensive use of Firewalls using iptables to protect the Company's 
networks and to define internet access policies. 

Maintenance of the entire IT infrastructure. Ensure that the local network 
functions smoothly without interruption. 

Installation & management troubleshooting of all Desktops, Servers, LAN and 
Internet.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Support in a 24 X 7 Environment (NOC).
Support the Clients over voice/chat/mail
Responsible for the uptime of the various client
projects being managed / monitored.
Make sure that the Tickets raised per shift are
closed in the required time limits and if not
escalated as per the escalation Matrix defined.
Report the daily issues handled / escalated in the
form of Daily reports.
Audits of the setups done by the fellow engineers to
make sure that the setup being handed over to the
customer is done to the customer’s satisfaction.
Make sure that issues are handled in right time
frames as per the SLA / commitments.
Follow up with Vendors – hardware & software
whenever required & resolve issues by minimizing
downtimes

Experience Required 3- 6 yrs


Education qualifications Any Graduate/BE/Btech

Technical Skills
(Mandatory)
Strong Linux OS fundamentals
Apache, MySQL, PHP Apps
Strong knowledge of DNS.
Knowledge of any Mail application like Qmail or
Postfix.
Working knowledge on any one of branded
hardware vendors like HP/Sun/IBM/Dell.
Knowledge of LDAP, Tomcat/Weblogic/Websphere
Application Servers and Any Backup application will
be an added advantage, JBOSS




Preferred qualifications
Graduation with RHCE / SCSE
Mandatory soft skills
Ability to handle teams
Self-driven and motivated to achieve success
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
Team player.
Assertive in communication, excellent
communication skills and presentation skills
