But, you'll lose some tablet active area if the actual ratio of your tablet is not the same as your screen. That's why the 4x6, 6x11 and 8x13 models were introduced. However, anything related to more than one screen may not be as simple as you would like it to be. This complexion is more due to the fact of "unstable/inconsistent" support of multi-monitors on Linux than the true technical challenge (I am saying this with two graduate degrees, one in Mathematics and the other in Computer Science).
