Very cool! I haven't tried it but I was interested in working on something like this myself. Any chance I can take the easy route and upgrade to rawhide to get this? I didn't have good luck recently trying to compile gnome-mouse-properties from git and suspect the same for this. Needed some unknown amount of dependencies installed first and I couldn't find a master build script like X has.
