gnome has jhbuild which gives you the full stack from git (though it does take a while to compile). http://live.gnome.org/Jhbuild The development was done on a rawhide box and I think I only had to install the gdesktop-schemas from git (though that was fixed the next day), so you'll likely be luck to at least get g-s-d from git running on rawhide if it's not alreay in there anyway. Since you're heavily involved with bamboos, you may want to consider adding "touch" as an extra tool btw, I skipped this so far.
