Overall excellent. I have a doubt about the lib64 info. On Ubuntu I have always been building 64-bit. In fact, 32 bit libs are not present by default when you chose a 64-bit version. If it were required to specify lib64, there would be lots of questions on the list. Some would pick the wrong lib dir and ask why things aren't working. Is this required on some distro?
