So I take it works now? I mean you do have the buttons listed in g-c-c.

 From the "wacom.example" file:

# Integration flags, is the tablet is part of the system, such as a
# TabletPC or integrated in the screen, ie a screen tablet (most serial
# tablets, Cintiqs)
# Note, if unspecified, the integration flags will be taken from the
kernel.
# Using an empty value or "None" forces the intergration flags to
remain unset
# even if the relevant kernel flags would state otherwise.

IntegratedIn supercedes BuiltIn. Your tablet is neither an ISD nor a
screen tablet so you can leave it empty.

In GNOME the ExpressKeys will emulate regular key shortcuts, not mouse
button press.

Simply clear the shortcut with Backspace.

Those are modifiers, modifiers make sense only if kept depressed with
another key or mouse button. The ExpressKeys in GNOME will emulate a
press/release so there is no point in using these are shortcuts.

Yes, that's expected.

Odd.

No, not that I know of.

Yes. Although IMHO this is similar in essence with existing bug 670907
[1] and 686782 [2] in the sense that what you want is not to emulate
mouse buttons or modifiers key presses, what you want is to trigger an
action in your applications.

The use of shortcuts, modifiers or mouse button emulation is merely a
mean to achieve an, not an end in itself.

Cheers,
Olivier
