Although IMHO this is similar in essence with existing bug 670907 [1] and 686782 [2] in the sense that what you want is not to emulate mouse buttons or modifiers key presses, what you want is to trigger an action in your applications. The use of shortcuts, modifiers or mouse button emulation is merely a mean to achieve an, not an end in itself.
