Same problem here. I've used a wacom tablet for ages on linux without
problems, but all of a sudden, with debian etch, several things have
gone weird. First of all, there's this problem - especially frustrating
after playing games, where the cursor actually ends up several feet
below the floor, and I have to spend 5 minutes getting it back again.

Second, sometimes when I start up, my normal mouse doesn't work, and the
mouse starts having 'hiccups.' By this I mean, if I lift the mouse and
set it down again, it will, for a microsecond, pretend to be absolute.
This is merely disorientating, but whenever this happens, the wheel goes
odd, too. Normally it will move anything one click and, thereafter, it
will only move it another click and then immediately one back again.
These two phenomena always occur together, and it seems to be something
to do with whether the monitor is on at some point in bootup.

Third, the 'sticky edges' problem mentioned before. If I use the stylus
(or presumably any device with absolute positioning) and move it out of
the marked area on the tablet, the cursor stops moving entirely. This
never used to happen!

Fourth, there is oddness when changing devices. When changing to the
stylus, I need to move the tip in, and then out and in again before
anything will happen. This doesn't happen with the eraser or mouse.
After it's 'registered' everything's fine until I change devices, and
then back to the stylus again.
Also, when changing to the mouse, it sometimes exhibits the same
multiple-personality as I described - it flickers to a different
position then back again. This only happens occasionally though, unless,
as above, it somehow happens every time.

This could be a debian problem. It never happend on Ubuntu, Fedora or
Redhat - are you guys aware of this?

I just upgraded to the 0.7 version in etch, but this hasn't fixed
anything I've so far been able to observe.

Cheers,
