The TwinView support was mainly for controlling cursor movement in X. In order to make it work right in Gimp, either Gimp developers update their part of code or some other solution should be considered. There were some discussions. But no actions so far.

Hello !
I am an Ubuntu user (dapper drake with 2.6.15-22-386 kernel) and the happy
owner of an Intuos V for a few days.
* i compiled the latest version of linuxwacom and installed it (with
wacom_drv.o , make install, and all)
* my xorg.conf is (i think) correctly configured (see below) (i recently
switched "sendCoreEvents" to "AlwaysCore" in the ServerLayout section, but this
is unrelated i think.)
* when *NOT* using the Twinview settings, the tablet works fine, except that
considering the global resolution (2304 x 1024), the drawings are totally
stretched.
* when activating the Twinview settings, (regardless i do have a ScreenNo
option or not), the weirdness begins :
- when using the cursor everything is fine, but in Gimp or Inkscape, when i
draw, the drawing appears with an offset compared to the location of the cursor.
like :
the drawing is here : X
when i draw here : X
- i noticed when using ScreenNo 0 that when drawing to the upper-left corner
of the left monitor, the offset is very small... when i draw the bottom-right
corner of the right monitor the offset is huge.
- what is _really_ strange is that when doing all this, with pressure
sensitivity OK, wacdump gives the name of the tablet OK but doesn't dump
anything... when i do "modprobe wacom", then wacdump dumps correctly... but the
tablet doesn't move the cursor anymore !!
strange isn't it? looks like a conflict between different drivers, or
something? can you please help me ?
thanx !
