I can't see why it shouldn't be possible.. The part of linuxwacom that would be affected by a monolythic build of the kernel would only be the wacom-kernel-driver (and some other updated drivers shipped with linuxwacom), and you can copy them into the kernel source (replacing the ones already there) and do the make. The rest is utilities and X-drivers. The latter is not affected whether you're using modules or not in the kernel, as they are loaded by the X-server and not the kernel. I upgraded myself to Xorg 7.0 about a week ago, and the one thing that I did notice was that all paths has been changed. So if you rely on the old paths (/usr/X11R6/lib) you will have a problem.
