my understanding was that evdev is no longer necessary for newer kernels (i'm using 2.6.17). but my usb graphire3 upon unplug and replug would revert to its default behavior of semi-absolute-semi-relative (there's a small area on the tablet in absolute mode, but this small area moves around on the tablet depending on where i put my pen), and pressure sensitivity is lost as well. why?
