Really? I found the tablet better than the mouse even when in this mode. The 
moving edges were quite annoying though.

Mmm... Ok, Xorg can't load the driver... Are you running Xorg 6.9? I would 
guess that the pre-compiled driver was compiled against 7.0 and that might be 
the problem.

I think you'll have to compile the driver yourself and then restart your 
X-server. But after that I can't see a reason to why it shouldn't work.
