I have nothing in my xorg.conf named pad, except the Alps Touchpad: $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf | grep pad Identifier "Alps Touchpad" InputDevice "Alps Touchpad" InputDevice "Alps Touchpad" To be more specific, the wacom stylus is named stylus, and nothing else. I have no idea why this Alps Touchpad turns up in my xsetwacom list. Anyway, do I need to change this for something else? Or what do I do now? As for the version: I have the wacom driver supplied by Ubuntu Edgy, but it seems that in these ubuntu packages, there is no wacompl. Therefore I used one downloaded and compiled. From what I understand, you've named something in the xorg.conf > with a string containing the keyword 'pad'. Rename that.
