Sorry, that was just a shot in the dark. It's probably just the issue
Ping pointed out (mixed environment). I'd suggest you clean out all
your self-compiled things - you seem to have put it in /usr/local which
is good.

Then remove the Ubuntu wacom stuff and install them again (just to be
sure). What you have now is a 0.7.2 X-driver, kernel driver and _some_
of the linux-wacom tools (not the tcl wacomcpl). You'll have to use the
"xsetwacom list dev" or "xidump -l" to see the names of the devices,
then "xsetwacom set stylus <whatever-you-want-to-do>". Use "xsetwacom
-h" and "xsetwacom list param" to get the options.

If you really want the wacomcpl you'd have to bring home the
linux-wacom package version 0.7.2 from sourceforge (and try to only
compile the tcl tool/libraries from that). Requires Tcl/Tk development
installed.

I'll send you an off-list e-mail with complete instructions how to
build .deb packages and install the very latest sourceforge drivers in
Ubuntu, should the original issue persist.
