Hi, Intuos3 A4(9x12) USB works fine with a 2.6.18 kernel version (from kernel.org) under Debian unstable (so without the driver from linuxwacom.sourceforge.net).
But before trying to install your driver, could you please give me some informations about the difference between your driver and the 2.6.18 driver ? In this page: http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/index.php/howto/kernel we can read: "Rest assured, efforts are being made to get these changes merged back into the Linux kernel."
