If you didn't get enough gifts from this holiday season, here is one for you
from Linuxwacom project team.
A new beta, 0.7.7-1, is posted at
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=69596. This beta
supports installing prebuilt Wacom X driver as well as its related utility
programs, such as xsetwacom, wacdump, and wacomcpl. This means you don't
have to build those programs on your system any more.
To test or use the prebuilt driver and programs, please do the following:
download and unzip the linuxwacom-0.7.7-1.tar.bz2;
cd linuxwacom-0.7.7-1/prebuilt
su
./install
reboot
This driver also supports multi-area definition for same InputDevice (refer
to
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1614296&group_id=69596&atid=525126).
Patches 07 and 08 have not been incorporated into CVS yet. Further
discussion on how to deal with overlapped areas is in progress. Details
will be shared later.
