Interesting, there might be use-cases for that. Maybe that is something we can
work as an extension of the base PubSub, once the base spec is done?

Hi Alberto,

Cool - that is pretty helpful.

I still wonder if any other arbitrary (custom per operational needs) grouping
of EIDs would be worth considering. Something like communities in BGP :) Then
subscribe to all EIDs marked with such value.

Best,
Robert.

Hi Robert,

PubSub builds on top of the general LISP behavior defined 6833bis, which allows
to send Map-Requests for EID prefixes. That means that, in PubSub, you can use
an ‘EID mask-len’ different from 32 or 128 on the Map-Request where you set the
N-bit to 1.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks!
Alberto

Hi,

Noticed Alvaro's review and have one question related to the draft ..

Is EID the only key to subscribe ?

Do you have a notion of subscribing to a group of EIDs (EID prefix) with one
request ? Or is there a way to subscribe to a group of EIDs based on some other
form of marking/grouping/coloring of EIDs ?

Thx,
R.
