Actually, your comment propelled me into digging into the topic a little
deaper and my misunderstanding was between the authentication and
authorization. In fact, when you authenticate, it looks at the entire
UserDirectory and then through the policies, you determine who is
authorized. I think another good resource would be to look at Chris
Elmore's Advanced Security presentation on the DFWCFUG site.

Subject: RE: Advanced Security quandry...
Thanks for the info and links, Seth. Hopefully they'll provide a resolution
to this problem.
spammer: someone that replies to messages/postings more often than expected.
In the case of this particular list, often with very useful, helpful, or
generally supportive information. I was only kidding, Seth. That's what
the <amusement> tag and winky were for. Good grief! A guy gets married and
gets all serious and sensitive on us all of a sudden... ;-) BTW, that last
comment was also in jest only, even though I didn't enclose it in the
<amusement> tag. Perhaps a <kidding> tag would be more appropriate for
future comments...
However, if I did, in fact, offend either Dave or Billy, I now offer my
sincerest apologies in this public forum to both of you. Such was
definitely not my intent, since you guys are two of my most valuable sources
for information on the happenings with and implementation of ColdFusion...
Sorry about that, guys... :-D

It's a term with negative connotations that probably tends to be taken more
seriously than it should, but I wouldn't blame either Dave or Billy for
being offended by your comment.
