Bruce,

I know that the Fax Service is Windows 2000 has a COM interface.  It's easy to code against it for sending faxes - I'm not certain what your options are when receiving.

I am looking into doing something like this for a client, however, I cannot find anything out there that does this. I know that there are services out there like efax and jfax that can allow a user to send a fax to an email address, but all that this does is create an attachment that is a .tiff image. I am not aware of how to take an image and extract data from it and plop it all into a DB. I am sure that I could take that attachment, and have it saved to an directory, then use the DB as a pointer to the image, but this will not work.
