Billy, I thought
if this too, however, the faxes are going to be incoming faxes and not
outgoing. Also, I do not know what the platform is for the CF server is. Thanks -----Original

Fax to DB >Date:

anyone ever created an application that takes a fax and enters the information
into a DB? I am looking into doing something like this for a client, however, I
cannot find anything out there that does this. I know that there are services
out there like efax and jfax that can allow a user to send a fax to an email
address, but all that this does is create an attachment that is a .tiff image.
I am not aware of how to take an image and extract data from it and plop it all
into a DB. I am sure that I could take that attachment, and have it saved to an
directory, then use the DB as a pointer to the image, but this will not work. > >TIA, > >Bruce
