Actually, I think that iFrames would not be very different.

I think the concept of "fuses" is very easy to use within any design.  I'm
not talking about Fusebox in the general "use a fuse" sense.  I'm referring
to the Fusebox spec (either 2.0 or 3.0)  If you stick to the "Fusebox spec",
which requires, among many things:
1) everything must go through the index.cfm file
2) layout at an application level, not at the fuse level

Typically in Fusebox, you'll store your layout in a file separate from the
index.cfm or the fuses, and use something like cfsavecontent to get the
content of each fuse into it.  In order use frames, you'll usually require
different pages to have different layouts.  As such, you'll usually need to
create some conditionality in your layouts file to deal with these issues.
