PLEASE Help!! CFGRID

OK. I am still using the old 4.5 cfgrid. I have one HUGE problem --- commas!!! How in the world can I convince the grid not to choke on commas entered into the fields???? Every time I enter a comma into a grid col. it causes the whole grid to get messed up. It does the first cfupdate just fine, the right values in the right columns..., but when the grid is displayed again it breaks that column over several cols. and will not allow any data to be updated in the grid until you go into the DB and physically remove the commas.   God I hope someone knows a way around this or I am dead!!!
