Right now I feel like the dumbest person in the whole world (insert your joke here about agreeing w/me on that...) Anyway, I was looping over a list and doing the cfgridrows like that so that I had more control over them. However, that kept hitting me in the head with a large hammer, so I just went back and used the query attribute in my cfgrid, which seemed to work well enough. Now the next ? I needed to answer was "Why was it working one way and not the other?" So all of the sudden I put down my crack-pipe and realized that I was looping over a comma-delimited list whose elements sometimes had commas in them. That's likely to mess things up a bit huh??? So I changed the delims and it works fine. I think the key to solving the problem was the crack or maybe it was layin' off of the crack???

Thanks Hinojosa!

Ken,

I'd try and ask a broader group of developers that have used cfgrid on a regular basis, probably the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list.  I have no clue as to what the problem is, but I do know that the cfgrid in CF 4.5 is the original applet that had a huge array of problems.  Now I do remeber Matt getting it working for the PGA Media Guide, entering commas for the purse values and it didn't choke, you may want to contact him and see if he can help.

Don't die on us bud.

OK. I am still using the old 4.5 cfgrid. I have one HUGE problem --- commas!!! How in the world can I convince the grid not to choke on commas entered into the fields???? Every time I enter a comma into a grid col. it causes the whole grid to get messed up. It does the first cfupdate just fine, the right values in the right columns..., but when the grid is displayed again it breaks that column over several cols. and will not allow any data to be updated in the grid until you go into the DB and physically remove the commas.

God I hope someone knows a way around this or I am dead!!! Dead I tell ya!!!!
