Look, if you don't like DWMX just keep on using Studio. It's not that big of a deal. It's not as if MM is holding a gun to anyone's head and making them use DWMX or Studio or anything else. I usually use CRiSP instead of Studio anyways, as Allaire/MM have never made Studio for Linux. What I'm trying to say is that you have numerous options available. I think too many people are dependant upon the visual editor and don't have a lot of ability to work without one. Try not to fall into that trap, lest you find yourself needing and unable to get by without one at a client site or something...

They basically took the Studio name and applied it to their "suite". However, Homesite+ will probably be the last editor in that line. (The Macromedia presenter at Tuesday night's meeting pretty much confirmed this) So unless Macromedia changes their product strategy (they are relatively receptive to market demands, however), you should learn to like Dreamweaver MX. Not an excellent response, but the current outlook would mandate it. I've been using Dreamweaver MX now for about 3 months, and I can do pretty much anything in that product as I could in Studio (along with a host of things that I couldn't do). I know that most of the criticism I've heard of DWMX has either been based on v. 3 or 4 (most of which has been fixed in MX) or by someone who opened it up for 5 minutes, and made their decision that they didn't like the product. It's not a perfect transition; you may have to relearn a few things. That's the nature of our jobs though - we wouldn't be developers if we felt uncomfortable with learning. --- Billy Cravens Web and Software Consulting www.Architechx.com -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Danny Gunter Sent: Thursday, May 30, 2002 9:06 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Macromedia MX >From what I've read, DWMX comes with a copy of Homesite+, which is basically an upgrade from Homesite 5 and has functionality built in for CFML, JSP, etc. --- Karen Harker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > DWMX replaces CF STudio.
