First of all, I don't know the answer... Guess: look at CGI.HTTP_AUTHORIZATION. When I log on to an NT server with NT authentication, I get a long string in this variable that looks like an encrypted string, possibly password.
This makes me think that if you were NOT using NT to authenticate, but rather plain text authentication, that the username and password would be in the auth_user and auth_password. Just thinking out loud really. Maybe this can get you going in a better direction. I have a web page that is secured. When a user requests the page he is prompted for a user name and password for the Server. When he is authenticated the page is displayed. The CGI.AUTH_USER get set, but the CGI.AUTH_PASSWORD does not. What is up with that. I don't believe that there is a way to retrieve the password from the Domain, you can only authenticate it. Also Does anyone know what the CFCATCH.Message "InsideText" Means.
